Working alongside main contractor Galliford Try for end client Regents (Godiva) Ltd, SES will design and deliver full M&E services for five residential towers, including lift safety, security, heating, ventilation, drainage and energy efficient lighting and control.

This £47.5m project will transform a brownfield site into a landscaped area with 76 cluster flats and 99 studio apartments for higher education students attending Coventry University.

Due to the restricted site access, SES’ dedicated offsite manufacturing facility, Prism, will be a key part of the project delivery, with a proposed saving of 14,000 working man hours on site. The Prism solution will also bring additional benefits to the project including improved health and safety, improved quality, as well as improved programme assurance.  All of which, along with our planned conventional onsite works ensures that we deliver M&E services on time and to the highest possible standard.

Steve Tovey, Business Director Midlands and South West, SES said:

“As a specialist in both offsite manufacture and the student accommodation sector, we are pleased to be able to bring our skills and expertise to work with Galliford Try on this landmark project in Coventry.

“Coventry is the birthplace of the British motor industry and the historical heart of UK manufacturing with Coventry University internationally recognised as a centre for engineering education excellence. So we’re thrilled to be involved in creating a stunning new home for the University’s students who will be studying hard to continue the city’s proud engineering heritage.“
