Leading national engineering specialist, SES Engineering Services (SES), has expanded its pre-construction team announcing the recent arrival of Lee Bedford.
Making a welcome return to SES, Lee has been appointed as a pre-construction manager for Yorkshire and is based in the York office.
During his previous 16 years with SES, Lee gained significant experience working within the planning, estimating and cost planning teams. In his short absence from SES, he was able to add to that, gaining valuable management experience required for his new role.
Lee is joining a well-established team and did not hesitate to return to the contractor, especially given its reputation as a leader in its sector, stemming in part from its forward thinking and innovative approach during the pre-construction phase.
Speaking of his new role, and the fact that managing director, Steve Joyce, is now at the helm, Lee said:
“I am delighted to be given this opportunity to return to SES. The company takes the lead when it comes to embracing new technologies both in the tender process and the delivery of projects. Steve’s passion and drive for the business is infectious and I believe brings out the best in people. The pre-construction team is equally passionate, as am I, and I am looking forward to making a positive contribution to continued work-winning success.”
Welcoming Lee in his new role, Joyce commented:
“We are increasingly using virtual technology and other innovative software tools in the tendering and pre-construction process and I believe this sets us apart from other contractors. Equally, having the right teams in place is important. Lee’s experience and management skills complement the existing in-house resources and I have every confidence that he will support the growth of SES in the regions with his new responsibilities.”
