SES appoints Michael J Lonsdale founder as non-exec director

Michael brings over 40 years of experience in the built environment and engineering sectors. He is best known for founding Michael J. Lonsdale in 1986, which grew to become one of the UK’s largest and most respected MEP firms, delivering works at landmark projects including 22 Bishopsgate, Bloomberg HQ and the Peninsula Hotel, before its closure in 2023.
Beyond his leadership at Lonsdale, Michael has held many senior roles across the industry and is recognised for his strategic insight, technical expertise, and commitment to building a legacy through innovation and operational excellence.
Michael will support SES’s senior leadership team in areas including governance, strategic growth, and complex project delivery, helping to shape the company’s direction as it expands into new markets and technologies.
This appointment comes at a time when SES is going from strength to strength as it seeks to deliver an ambitious transformation strategy. The business recently posted record results for 2024, with a 55 per cent rise in turnover year-on-year to £463.7 million, with profit before tax up 60 per cent to £9.3 million.
