Paul Ross recognised as Yorkshire Finance Leader following SES’s record £590m year
SES Finance Director Paul Ross has been named Yorkshire Finance Leader in an over £100m Turnover Business at the Yorkshire Finance Leaders Awards, recognising his leadership during a significant period of growth for SES.
The recognition follows the publication of our 2025 results, which saw SES report a record turnover of £590m and a fourth consecutive year of growth.
Those results tell an important story about the strength of our business. But behind them are the people making decisions, supporting our projects and creating the foundations for continued growth. For Paul and the finance team, that means looking beyond the numbers.
Finance that supports the business
Paul joined SES’s Strategy Board as Financial Controller before progressing to Finance Director. He brings more than 20 years’ experience across retail, FMCG, manufacturing and professional services, including roles at Morrisons and Arville Textiles, and is a Fellow of the ICAEW (FCA).
Throughout his time at SES, Paul has focused on building a finance function that works closely with teams across the business, providing the insight and financial understanding that supports effective decision-making.
Leading through people
That approach starts with the team around him.
Developing people, sharing knowledge and building a diverse, strong and integrated finance function have been central to Paul’s leadership. It has helped create a team equipped to support a growing business while working closely with colleagues across SES.
For Paul, that makes the award as much a reflection of the wider team as it is an individual achievement.
Building on a record year
Our £590m turnover and fourth consecutive year of growth provide a strong foundation for what comes next.
As SES continues to invest in its people, capabilities and technology, the focus remains on sustainable growth and our ambition to become the UK’s leading engineering and technology group, while delivering our purpose of reimagining places for people to thrive.
