Dr Ben Jowett is Head of Digital Transformation at SES, leading the development and implementation of the company’s digital strategy. His role focuses on driving innovation, improving business performance and accelerating the adoption of technologies that enhance the delivery of engineering solutions across the business.
Ben has developed deep expertise in digital technologies, engineering-focused systems, and process optimisation through a variety of BIM and digital engineering roles with Tier One contractors and at SES since 2024. His practical experience, combined with a passion for innovation, supports the successful adoption of transformative solutions across the business.
Ben holds a PhD in Construction Project Management from Northumbria University, where his research focused on the implementation of mobile BIM technologies to support lean construction approaches at both project and organisational levels. He is passionate about combining academic research with practical application to drive meaningful change within the built environment.
Alongside his role at SES, Ben serves as an External Examiner at Leeds Beckett University for its Doctor of Engineering (DEng) and Doctor of Professional Practice in the Built Environment (DProf) programmes. His academic and industry expertise helps strengthen the connection between research, innovation, and real-world engineering practice, supporting SES’ position at the forefront of digital transformation in construction.
