SES Technology Appoints New Pre-Construction Director to Drive Growth Across Data, Technology and Advanced Manufacturing
SES Technology, the dedicated data and technology business of engineering company, SES, has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of Andy Scott as Pre-Construction Director.
Andy brings more than two decades of experience across planning, bidding, pre-construction and project delivery, having built an impressive track record with some of the UK’s leading construction and engineering organisations.
Most recently, he served as regional director for Yorkshire and the North East at Stantec (formerly Hydrock), following 12 years with Sir Robert McAlpine where he held a variety of planning, design management, and senior pre-construction roles, and helped develop major UK-based projects. He brings extensive expertise in the advanced manufacturing sector, leading pre-construction phases of projects with combined values approaching £1bn.
Based in the North East, Andy joins the business to lead and develop SES Technology’s and Wates Advanced Manufacturing’s work-winning and pre-construction function. In this role, he will play a key part in delivering the companies’ growth ambitions across strategic sectors, including data centres and advanced manufacturing, serving customers across the UK.
He will be responsible for building a high-performing team, strengthening customer engagement, embedding robust pre-construction processes and ensuring successful project outcomes while maintaining adherence to both SES governance standards, and those of its parent company, Wates Group.
Andy will work closely with the leadership team, including Managing Director Eddie Tribe, to enhance the business’ capability, strengthen customer relationships and support the delivery of its long-term strategy, as SES Technology and Wates Advanced Manufacturing continue their journey to become the most sustainable and profitable Technology & Advanced Manufacturing business in UK construction.
