Nightingale Hospital NHS, Sunderland

SES joined forces with Geoffrey Robinson Ltd to deliver critical MEP infrastructure for the NHS Nightingale Hospital North East in Sunderland – a 460-bed emergency facility created to support the region’s response to the COVID-19 pandemic. 

Working under immense time pressure, SES helped convert a 9,000m² empty unit into a fully operational hospital in just weeks.

GSK Aseptic Manufacturing Facility, County Durham 

SES was directly appointed by GSK to deliver full MEP services for Q Block – a £94m, 11,500 sqm aseptic manufacturing facility at the company’s Barnard Castle site in County Durham. This highly complex, state-of-the-art project represents a flagship investment in biopharmaceuticals and is designed to be replicated globally. 

To meet GSK’s exacting standards and ensure tight control over quality and scheduling, offsite construction and digital engineering were central to the delivery strategy.
