Accelerating delivery through offsite innovation
The £2.4m Eden Boys Leadership Academy in Birmingham, developed for Star Academies, required a fast-track approach to meet programme demands. The facility comprises a three-storey educational block, a sports hall, and a separate plant room—providing high-quality learning and recreational spaces for students.
SES appointment and scope
SES Engineering Services was appointed to deliver full mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) services for the academy. Our remit included containment, heating, gas, and domestic pipework, alongside the installation of a fully integrated plant room.
Offsite manufacturing for programme certainty
To accelerate delivery and minimise disruption, SES utilised its award-winning offsite manufacturing facility, Prism. A prefabricated plant room was produced in three sections and connected on site—a complex process requiring meticulous planning and exemplary teamwork.
This approach ensured precision, improved safety, and reduced on-site labour hours, helping the project meet critical deadlines.
