Reimagining engineering excellence in historic London
100 New Bridge Street is a flagship commercial refurbishment in the heart of London, transforming a 1990s office building into 394,000 sq ft of Grade A workspace, 3,592 sq ft of retail, and a 4,000 sq ft landscaped terrace with panoramic views of St Paul’s Cathedral. SES is proud to be delivering the full MEP scope for both shell and core and CAT A fit-out, in partnership with Mace and Helical.
This high-profile scheme exemplifies how sustainable innovation and modern methods of construction can redefine commercial performance. By retaining much of the original structure, the project significantly reduces embodied carbon while preserving architectural continuity with its historic surroundings.
Offsite manufacturing leadership
SES is spearheading the highest level of prefabrication ever undertaken on a Mace refurbishment project in the UK. Leveraging our dedicated offsite manufacturing facilities, and trusted supply chain, SES is delivering a solution that enhances quality, safety, and programme efficiency. Each prefabricated component is designed and delivered offsite, ensuring consistency, minimising waste, and significantly reducing on-site labour and disruption, including:
A standout achievement was the complex weekend road closure of New Bridge Street, a key route into Blackfriars Bridge. Coordinated with Transport for London and the Metropolitan Police, the team safely lifted two 14-tonne ASHPs and the plant room into position on the roof, 10 storeys high – executed flawlessly in a busy central London setting.
