Social Value

Our approach is rooted in our belief that how we do business is as important as what we do.

Delivering for people, places and planet

Our work is guided by our purpose: reimagining places for people to thrive

This reflects our commitment to shaping environments that enhance lives, support thriving communities, and drive positive social, environmental, and economic impacts.

Business done well can be a force for good

All our work is underpinned by our Social Value strategy which targets the delivery of meaningful, measurable benefits to society through our operations, projects and partnerships, going beyond financial profit.

At SES, we believe business done well can be a force for good and this strategy pushes us to implement long term social value programmes and collaborative partnerships that tackle inequality.

Social Value in action

Our programmes and activities are focused on building sustainable communities by inspiring others and using our influence to create opportunities for under-represented groups.

We do this by actively supporting our wider goals and aligning our efforts with SES strategic objectives, ensuring our work drives meaningful change across both our business and the communities we serve.

There is an ongoing skills, knowledge and experience shortage in our industry that we need to change. From work experience placements to careers fairs, primary school to college students, we work with education providers and industry partners to deliver initiatives across the country and present engineering as an attractive career path for the next generation.

At SES, we believe is our duty to confront social imbalance and be a force for good. We will continue to help inspire better ways of creating the places, communities and businesses of tomorrow.

“Delivering social value is intrinsic to that, and our strategy is rooted in a firm belief that how we do business is as important as what we do.”
