SES aligning health and safety practices with UK regulations

Our health and safety strategy aims to embed a proactive, resilient, and learning-focused safety culture.

This is through identifying and addressing the most critical risks in our operations – our “#1 risks” – and ensuring our systems are designed to adapt, recover, and improve continuously

We are committed to ensuring the physical and mental health, safety and wellbeing of our employees, partners, customers and other stakeholders by developing, implementing and managing highly effective systems, processes and initiatives.

Our responsibilities

Our health and safety team is dedicated to relentlessly managing risks and preventing work-related injuries while ensuring that every contractor, sub-contractor, and employee has a safe and healthy place to work.

At the core of our approach is a commitment to maintaining best practice standards, always aligned with the Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and the Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, ensuring that safety is deeply embedded in everything we do.

Beyond compliance, we are truly committed to creating and maintaining a positive and proactive culture, by focussing on the wellbeing of our teams, providing the right tools and support to engineer out risks, and implement robust controls.

We actively engage with our supply chain to understand what’s working and where improvements can be made. By learning from both successes and setbacks, we add value to our operations and enable our company to grow as a true learning organisation.

Our aim is to create a truly learning focussed organisation, where we learn fast
and adapt to high-risk situations.

“We care about our teams and our supply chain and will relentlessly pursue improvements in our systems and ways of working through engagement and a focus on our number one risks. In this way we can ensure a safe and healthy environment for everyone at SES.”
