SES Celebrates Triple Win at the Yorkshire CIBSE Awards
We won three major awards at the Yorkshire CIBSE Awards on 27 February, recognising excellence in engineering leadership, project delivery and inclusion across our Yorkshire region.
As members of CIBSE (the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers), these awards are particularly meaningful. CIBSE is the leading global professional body for building services engineers, championing sustainability, innovation and building performance across the built environment. Its regional awards celebrate best practice, leadership and impact within our industry.
We were awarded:
Project Trinity was recognised for the exceptional transformation of Lloyds Banking Group’s Grade II listed Trinity Road building in Halifax, delivered in partnership with Wates Smartspace and with SES appointed as the main building services partner and MEP contractor.
In particular it was honoured for its outstanding approach to sustainability, heritage conservation and technical delivery. The project achieved an EPC A rating through refurbishment alone, tripling the building’s energy efficiency, and was praised for its digital coordination, offsite manufacturing and meaningful community impact.
Project Trinity stands as a powerful example of how engineering excellence, collaboration and integrity can deliver long‑term value for clients, users, communities and the wider industry.
Two individual SES colleagues were also recognised. Tom Lee was named Engineer of the Year for his leadership, technical capability and pivotal role in delivering Project Trinity to an exceptional standard. His dedication to professional development and mentoring was also commended.
Juliette Scholes received the Women in Building Services Engineer Award for her exceptional technical leadership, influence on major projects and commitment to supporting future talent. Her contributions across design assurance, BIM and industry outreach were highly praised.
