We’re proud to announce that our digital transformation team has been shortlisted for the Digital Construction Excellence Award at the 2026 Construction News Awards!

In recognition of our exemplary digital transformation team and the culture they are helping to build across the business, the shortlisting highlights the impact of an inclusive, diverse team that is championing digital confidence, capability and consistency throughout SES.

Now in its 30th year, the Construction News Awards is one of our industry’s most prestigious events, bringing together the best of the built environment and recognising the projects, innovations, and people who set the benchmark for success. The Digital Construction Excellence Award recognises organisations using digital innovation to drive meaningful, measurable improvement in performance.

Over the past two years our digital transformation team has grown from two specialists to a group of 11, each bringing experience from across engineering, site management, design, commercial and early‑career routes.

Led by Ben Jowett, SES’s Head of Digital Transformation, the team brings together a diverse range of expertise that reflects the full scope of the business.

They are driving digital standards, improving information management and creating new workflows that enhance quality, predictability and data flow across projects. Recent investment in apprenticeships and early‑career roles is also opening doors for people who may not have previously considered a future in digital construction.

Judges praised the team’s collaborative approach, which has empowered project teams to adopt digital tools with confidence through practical guidance and consistent, hands‑on support, alongside forming strong partnerships with technology providers and academic institutions.

Our shortlisting recognises the people who are helping to embed digital thinking in everything we do. Their commitment to inclusion, learning and continuous improvement is shaping a culture that will support SES far into the future.”

Business Performance Director

This shortlisting is the latest accolade for SES, following us being named Large Contractor of the Year at the 2025 ECA Industry Awards and our recent triple win at the CIBSE Yorkshire awards.

Congratulations to all our digital team for this amazing accomplishment as we look forward to the awards ceremony 9 July.
