π SHE Advisor – WPS (South of West Midlands) π
Are you passionate about safety, wellbeing, and driving a positive culture across sites and teams? π¦Ίπ¬
We’re looking for a committed SHE Advisor to join our WPS business, supporting our projects across the South of the West Midlands. In this role, you’ll provide expert SHE guidance, coaching, and hands-on support — helping our project teams deliver safely, consistently and in line with our Wates Professional Standards. π
β¨ What You’ll Be Doing
π Visit projects regularly and complete detailed H&S Support Visits
π· Coach project leads on risk identification, mitigation, and Operating Framework compliance
π Lead and support incident investigations, sharing learnings to drive continual improvement
π Review RAMS and project plans to ensure they are timely, accurate and fit for purpose
ποΈ Support project teams with bid preparation and preβconstruction information
π€ Build strong relationships with supply chain partners and influence SHE best practice
π Ensure compliance with Wates Professional Standards
π± Mentor supply chain and client SHE reps on the WPS Operating Framework and New START strategy
π Additional Responsibilities
π Fully mobile across the region
π£οΈ Able to translate SHE policy across all areas of the business

π€ About You
You’ll bring:
π Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar SHE role
π Strong hazard identification and risk assessment skills
π Solid knowledge of construction SHE legislation
π Strong reporting, analytical and presentation skills
β οΈ Experience with asbestos management (essential)
π Qualifications
βοΈ Tech IOSH / IOSH Cert (minimum)
βοΈ NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 4 or working toward MIOSH
βοΈ P405 Asbestos Management or Duty to Manage (desirable)
