We’re looking for a committed SHE Advisor to join our WPS business, supporting our projects across the North of the West Midlands. In this role, you’ll provide expert SHE guidance, coaching, and hands-on support — helping our project teams deliver safely, consistently and in line with our Wates Professional Standards. πŸ’™

✨ What You’ll Be Doing

πŸ” Visit projects regularly and complete detailed H&S Support Visits
πŸ‘· Coach project leads on risk identification, mitigation, and Operating Framework compliance
πŸ“ Lead and support incident investigations, sharing learnings to drive continual improvement
πŸ“„ Review RAMS and project plans to ensure they are timely, accurate and fit for purpose
πŸ—οΈ Support project teams with bid preparation and pre‑construction information
🀝 Build strong relationships with supply chain partners and influence SHE best practice
πŸ“˜ Ensure compliance with Wates Professional Standards
🌱 Mentor supply chain and client SHE reps on the WPS Operating Framework and New START strategy

πŸ‘€ About You

You’ll bring:
πŸ“š Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar SHE role
πŸ”Ž Strong hazard identification and risk assessment skills
πŸ“œ Solid knowledge of construction SHE legislation
πŸ“ Strong reporting, analytical and presentation skills
⚠️ Experience with asbestos management (essential)

πŸŽ“ Qualifications

βœ”οΈ Tech IOSH / IOSH Cert (minimum)
βœ”οΈ NEBOSH Diploma / NVQ Level 4 or working toward MIOSH
βœ”οΈ P405 Asbestos Management or Duty to Manage (desirable)
