🕒 Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (excluding Sundays)
📞 On-Call: 1 week in 4, circa 3 months after starting

About the Role:

We are looking for a skilled and proactive Shift Engineer with a mechanical bias to join our team at a static site in central London. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a professional facilities management environment, supporting the smooth operation of building systems and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Carry out planned and reactive maintenance across mechanical systems and general building services.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot systems including:
    • Pumps
    • Fan Coil Units (FCUs)
    • Air Handling Units (AHUs)
    • Domestic plumbing systems and minor repairs
    • Water hygiene systems
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and site-specific procedures.
  • Participate in the on-call rota (1 week in 4) following an initial onboarding period.

Qualifications & Experience:

Essential:

  • Relevant mechanical qualification (e.g. City & Guilds / NVQ Level 2 or 3 in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering)
  • Control of Legionella / Water Hygiene certification (dated within 2 years) or similar awareness qualification
  • Proven experience in building services or facilities maintenance

Desirable:

  • Electrical awareness or multi-skilled engineering experience
  • Fire door inspection qualification
