SES, working in partnership with Brighton and Sussex University Hospitals NHS Trust and Kajima Europe (UK) has delivered this new multi-storey Children’s Hospital, which was built under the governments Private Finance Initiative (PFI). The new facility will replace the outdated Royal AlexandraHospital for Sick Children.

SES’ contract includes the installation and commissioning of all associated mechanical and electrical building services to the 100-bed facility, which includes three operating theatres, diagnostic and treatment facilities, intensive care unit and parent accommodation and children’s facilities.

The scheme has become know as the “Ark”, not only in recognition of it’s focus on children, but also because of its physical attributes and of course it’s adjacency to the sea.
