The new four-storey Cobalt 12A project was virtually a seamless development on from its sister building Cobalt 12, which SES was involved in and built the previous year. The new building has been designed to be used as a call centre for Procter & Gamble's administrative centre for product support. The Proctor & Gamble employees who are situated in the new building work on the company's UK and Eire Business.

In its development SES implemented a number of labour saving M&E installation methods, including modular wiring installations for power, lighting and workstations power supplies. Mannersman and Victaulic pipework was used for riser and long plant room runs. This was coupled with the use of Gripple Hangfast on both mechanical and electrical installations. SES also installed 'Self-Testing Emergency Luminaries'.

The use of the modular wiring 'plug & play' system was agreed with the client at the start of the construction programme. The system gave the building greater flexibility to facilitate changes during the construction programme at a minimal cost. This system also allows the client to effect his own simple changes as and when required.
